The challenge
The stone industry trades slabs, machinery and production offcuts through general classifieds sites and over the phone, without knowing who is on the other side. Dom Kamienia wanted to create a place for professionals only: a closed marketplace where only verified businesses see prices and contacts, yet one that is visible in Google and encourages sign-ups. Alongside the marketplace, the portal was to handle tenders, a grants database and job listings, in three language versions.
The solution
We built the portal on WordPress and our base theme, and wrote the marketplace logic from scratch, without off-the-shelf classifieds plugins. Companies are verified when they register, and data meant for verified users is protected, while the marketplace itself stays visible in search engines. Businesses add and promote listings from their own dashboard, and buyers search offers by multiple criteria and contact sellers directly in the portal. Everything works in three languages, and around the marketplace there are tenders, a grants map, job listings and a store with a configurator for made-to-measure products.
